Summer is officially here, with many people beginning to think about what they would like to do in their spare time. Perhaps some of you may not regularly take in gallery shows. Having been one of my most favourite things to do I encourage you to get out in Toronto and take in the art. The city continues to add venues for an art adventure and most of them are free.

I offer you a reminder of one such experience. Located in the East End of Toronto, the gallery staff at Blue Crow Gallery have been busy hanging one such show for you to take in. With 107 Artists participating all paintings are 12” and under $350. Happily I have become online friends with many of the Artists participating and I can say there are some fabulous pieces for you to add to a collection or begin a collection with. The show will be available to view and purchase online July 9th, although I have heard that the opening reception is a well attended event and pieces may be collected July 8th. Don’t miss out.

Blue Crow Gallery is an established Toronto Art Gallery featuring many Canadian and Local Artists, take in a wide variety of art, ceramics, sculpture and jewelry. A thoughtfully curated collection with interesting stories behind the art and Artists. An accessible space for those living with disability something I value greatly with my new lifestyle.
Participating in this Group Show is Garden Painting no. 24, a chance to see the first piece of my new work for Spring /Summer 2022 in person. Garden Paintings capture the essence of colour and abstract form throughout the garden. Each colour a memory of a flower blossom. Each brushstroke energized with the natural light on or through green leaves. Gentle abstract form taken from a leaf gives each composition a unique shape. Each composition a memory in my minds eye or a photograph from a stroll through the yard.

The 6th Annual Summer Show runs July 8th to September 9th with a reception on Friday July 8th from 7pm to 10 pm at The Blue Crow Gallery. There are 107 Artists work curated beautifully for you to take in art this summer in Toronto. Plan your visit to the gallery now and include a bite to eat and a lovely walk in the cities east end.
